About Me

I’m a 30-something, enthusiastic and hard headed writer.

If you’re looking for a one liner to explain my existence, that’s about as close as I can get.

In reality, I’m more than one hook in a ring-bound story, and less than perfect in any which way. But I have dreams, goals and a tenacity like anyone else, the only difference is that I value my moral code.

Family, Ingenuity, Truth & Honesty.

If you came here to skip the sob story and read about my professional experience, I welcome you to hover over the About Me button and click on the portfolio page at any time, but to make it easier on you, I’ll also put the link

To learn about my upbringing, I can’t say it’s been a fairy tale, but I haven’t had all the easiest paths to run through either. I grew up in lovely Winnipeg, which brought with it adventures in the snow and a community feeling I haven’t found anywhere else.

I moved to Toronto when I hit double digits and have survived this beautiful city ever since. School was…well…school. I majored in skipping, and picked up a minor in detention, but what I did learn throughout those years helped me figure out the person I am today. Among all those fantastic lessons, a writer was born, and with that profound discovery, I began to share with the world my thoughts, feelings, and opinions just to be sure I was heard.

I stumbled into adulthood early, and am a proud mother to the coolest kid on the block, and with that, I drive my writing to a new direction.

If you’re asking why games, it’s because games helped me through the toughest of times. Through the many moves, new schools, failed courses and social struggles, games brought me closer to happiness than almost any other outlet. But I didn’t realize that at first. When I began writing, I was a ghost writer, then I moved on to run-of-the-mill articles, and after a while I knew that I was walking the wrong path. It took me a long time to realize that what I should be writing about, are games.

I have a goal, I want my kid(s) to play in-depth and educational games that I was lucky to be presented with growing up. I want the next generation to look at a story and feel emotion exuding from all angles. What I want, is meaning behind the mechanics that make up an interactive adventure. So, I write for my son, for all our sons, daughters, and for the future of this incredible industry that is games.
